SACE Activated Identity Futures (AIF) Tuition
Students in South Australia must complete the one semester, compulsory subject of AIF to fulfil their SACE requirements either in Year 11 or Year 12. This subject was recently introduced into the senior secondary school curriculum to replace the former “Research Project.” The intention of AIF is to enable senior secondary students an opportunity to “foster independent learning and the skills of lifelong learning” (SACE website) through conducting research on an area of personal interest through the pursuit of a specific Learning Goal.
I assist students with their understanding of the requirements of the AIF process through regular discussions and feedback. I provide explanations about how to access credible online resources, the ethical preparation and conduct of interviews/surveys and how to accurately present in-text citations. Furthermore, students are guided in the development of their research skills, so appropriate, informed decisions about the research process can be made, whilst always ensuring they undertake their own original work.
